Prayer Opportunites

August 3rd will be spent with single-minded focus as we petition God for healing for Dwayne. If you are looking for an opportunity to pray with others, feel free to join a group of believers and friends who will be meeting on the patio just to the side of the main doors of Saskatoon City Hospital. This will begin at 6:30 AM and continue on throughout the morning or the day.

My (Janet's) family and I spent the afternoon today planning the celebration of the life of Erica Wiebe. Once again God's grace was sufficient for our needs. The service will be held on Saturday. God's Word tells us that when we are weak, then God's strength is revealed thru us. May God show Himself powerful in these next few days.

Hi Dwayne and Janet,

My thoughts and prayers are with you, as they have been since this journey started. I was saddened to hear about Janet's Mom - while it's great that she is no longer in pain and with Jesus rejoicing in Heaven, it's still sad to not have her with you through the challenges that lie ahead.

I know that God is carrying you through this - just like the footprints poem - this is one of those times in life that when you look back on it with Jesus at the end, you will see only one set of footprints in the sand because he is carrying you.

Know also that there are multitudes of people praying for you - from my Mom and her church in New Westminster, to all my friends and relatives and thier churches in the Vancouver area, to some of my new co-workers (and thier churches) as I share your journey at work and find there are more and more Christians in my new workplace.

Love in Christ and Upholding You in Prayer,

Crystal Stroeder

Janet, my heart aches for you and your family...so much all at once.

But if God were not the God who created this world from nothing, healed the sick, made the blind to see and raised the dead, you would have no hope. Thankfully, we know all that is true, and I know from walking through valleys in my own life that truly "His strength is made perfect in weakness."

That said, I know the pain is still very real - never forget that "tears are the lubrication of the soul." I'm sure they've been flowing freely of late...never try to stop that - even Christ wept.

Mark and I continue to pray for you exactly as you requested... that His grace would be sufficient.

Love,
Moira

Hi Dwayne and Janet,

So many things go through my mind as I think of you this morning. Your ministry through this journey has truly been divinely appointed. I'm continually reminded that life is a highway.

My prayers are also with you. I wish I could be there in person, but knot that I am there in spirit.

See you next week,

Dwight

Janet/Dwayne and family,
I was looking to scripture to express our concern and to encourage you as we are at a loss for words, however, will trust that the Holy Spirit will minister to you through the word in 2 Cor 4:16-18
"Therefore we do not lose heart, but though our outer man is decaying, yet our inner man is being renewed day by day. For momentary, light affliction is producing for us an eternal weight of glory far beyond all comparison, while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen; for the things seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal."
God bless and sustain you and your family as you endure these trials set before you. B&K

I felt so much peace in my heart after leaving the prayer gathering at City Hospital this morning. So much hope, compassion, caring and glorifying the Lord! May you feel all these things as you face the challenges ahead.

We love you all and are praying earnestly to our Heavenly Father.

Hugs,
Wendy, Rob and Daniel

Dwayne and Janet,

Just a note to let you know that I'm praying for you during this very difficult time. I know the Lord is big enough and great enough to carry you through -- as hard as it may be for you. I pray that you will know His presence, feel His arms wrapped around you, and experience His love and support. May He do this in your own hearts and through the people He brings to you this day -- and in the days to come.

Yours in Christ,

Greg Bright
